Backstabbed

 “You've changed for the worst.”

Go ahead tell me what you heard

Try to come at me, make me hurt.

See me at my lowest, and then desert.

But I rose up from my pain

Broke all my restraints

And I’ve dealt with all the shame

You try to make me feel.

All this gossip behind my back

I try to fight, then you attack

From the other side

With dastardly lies.

And nobody seems to see

My side.

Nobody tries to read

What they try to hide.

And all the fake friends

Are coming at me again

We’re doing a dangerous dance

And you’ve cheated, dagger in your hands.

But I can rise up

From all your backstabbing

I can shut you up

If I drown out your voice with my singing.
